Bone stock, I’m told, except for an intake and a Holly 4 bbl. More pictures promised for tomorrow.

I’d say 2500 is the lowest I would go without feeling like a ‘lowballer'.

not sure, start at 2500, he’ll probably say 3000$, you’ll say 2800$ and he’ll say 2900$ to which you’ll agree lol.

Because it’s a four-door I might be a lowballer at $2k.

its a more door......... it would be great if you were using it for a donor for a 2 door...... 4 doors just dont bring good money, yet. the real world value would hurt the guys feelings($1600?)....... whatever you are comfortable with.

Same. 4 door 73+ Nova that needs work? I’d pay $2700 max.
Edit: Depends on what’s under the hood.

I was thinking I’d start at $1800.

More pictures tomorrow. 350 with a Holley and an aftermarket intake manifold, I’m told. Ultimately, I’d like to swap out a late-model complete 6-cyl driveline.

I’m thinking of opening at $1,800.

yeah, i mean you hate to hurt the guy’s feelings, its clean, and straight. but the car just doesnt bring what he is asking for it...... and it is ALMOST a wrong year car too.... 1800 is a downright reasonable offer............
stop when you get to 2500.......

And four doors. Which is what I want, but two doors commands the premium price. Talk to me about wrong-year car,
por favor
.

hey, if thats what you are after, nothing wrong with that either.... what i mean by wrong year, is that the 68-71 have the prime fenders. grille, the ones that EVERYBODY wants.
and by 75, had made the bumpers all bulky, and had made the fenders a a bit awkward looking up front, had gone and changed the rear valence to have those other big lights.
cool hatch right???
the fenders on the one youre looking at, are STILL the swoopy curvacious ones, just with inserts to move the marker lights to the middle, and the bumper was just starting to get big....but hadnt gotten entirely bloated yet. its still curvy. they went to the wheezy 305 in there somewhere around 74 or 75.
they are ALL fun cheap cars. all that i mean by wrong year, is that they have left the PRIME body lines. nothing REALLY wrong with them.

Gotcha. I actually like the looks of the ‘75-76. My first car was a ‘76 Nova. Straight-six, three-speed manual. No AC...
I wouldn’t even consider owning one of the hatchbacks.
Yes, the ‘68 had that classic look. A little too iconic for my taste, if I’m honest. I like to be a little bit off beat, a little bit stodgy.
I’d be tempted to track down an LT1 engine for the ‘73, but if I’m going to go to the effort and expense, I want some MPGs to come with it.

i ALMOST bought a 77. it was before i had started on one of my long term projects. it was rough, even for a been sitting car. one of the things that i liked about it was that it was a wrong year. that there was nothing of “value” to hurt.
those old 3 speeds are FUN. bit of a jump from 2-3 but still tons of fun. and those poor tired old inline 6 engines will clicketty clatter on FOREVER. they wont get you there fast, but they will get you there.
IF you did end up with it, you could always regear it with an axle out of an s10. all kinds of options there.

I wouldn’t give him more than $2200 for it (assuming it really does run well). Thing is, it needs paint. You’re looking at $5k or more for a decent paint job. Then what is the car worth at that point? It’s a 4 door, so no where near what the coupes are worth.

Yup. I'm at about $1800.

If you can, post pics.
If it’s an Edelbrock 2101 performer with a Holley 600cfm carb it’s worth maybe an extra $100.

Will do.

68-72, but yeah, that’s what people want. 73-74 shares a lot with the 68-72 cars but not the nose and tail. You *can* do a bumper tuck or bumper swap with the earlier cars if you want.
